Metro phase-2 is 54.675 K.M. of metro development in Delhi. Second phase development of metro includes Vishva Vidyalaya to Jahangir Puri, Central Secretariat to Qutab Minar, Shahdara to Dilshad Garden, Indraprastha to New Ashok Nagar, Yamuna Bank to Anand Vihar ISBT, Kirti Nagar to Mundka.
Delhi Metro Extension of Phase-2 Delhi metro extension of phase-2 is the metro development in NCR. Second Phase includes Gurgaon, Noida, Badarpur connectivity to Delhi and High Speed Express Link from New Delhi Railway Station to IGI Airport.
Gurgaon -Delhi Metro- This Gurgaon-Delhi extension is 14.47 K.M. long and connected Sushant Lok, Gurgaon to Ambedkar Colony in Delhi. Its total estimated cost is Rs.1600.92 crore with taxes and duties.
This metro construction is under progress and targeted for completion by 31.7.2010.
Noida- Delhi Metro- This extension of second phase metro is 7 K.M. long from New Ashok Nagar to Sector 32, Noida. Its estimated cost is Rs. 840.56 Crore. 80 % of Rs. 611 Crore is being contributed by UP Government and 20% is being pay by Government of India.
Central Secretariat - Badarpur Metro- This extension of second phase metro is 20.16 K.M. long and it will be 5.16 K.M. underground and rest 15 K.M. will be elevated. There will be 15 metro stations to serve Central Secretariat, Khan Market, JLN Stadium, Lajpat Nagar, Moolchand, Kailash Colony, Nehru Place, Kalkaji, Okhla, Jasola, Sarita Vihar, Mohan Cooperative Industrial Estate, Tughlakabad, Badarpur areas. This project will be targeted to complete up to June, 2010.
High Speed Express Metro Link from New Delhi Railway Station to IGI Airport-This Rs. 3076 Crore project is under construction for New Delhi Railway Station to Indira Gandhi Airport. This track will be for special Metro train. This train will have sitting and language carrying facilities. It will run with 135 Kmph speed and reach in just 16 Minutes from New Delhi to IGI Airport. This train will run in New Delhi Railway Station, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, Wellington Crescent, Sardar Patel Marg, Dhaula Kuan and National High No.8 to IGI Airport.
This metro train will run 5.5 K.M. underground, 11.6 K.M. elevated and 2.1 K.M. switchover ramp. It total length will be 19.2 K.M.
Metro second phase in under construction and most of the targets are achieved up to year 2010.
