
Fever
There are many causative factors that are responsible for fever. One of the most common reasons behind fever is the presence of organisms like virus, fungus, and bacteria that cause infection. Other reasons include infestation by parasites and worms, or consumption of some drugs.
Fever caused by infestation are actually the harbinger of ailments like cold, flu, herpes, tonsillitis, rheumatic fever, vasculitis, laryngitis, tuberculosis, boils, pharngitis, pancreatitis, prostatitis, orchitis, otitis, pneumonia, meningitis, vasculitis, chickenpox, breast abscess, pyelonephritis, cystitis, endocarditis, appendicitis, and similar other diseases.
Parasites and worms are the causative aliments behind the fever caused due to infestation. These parasites are often carried to the patient by some vector-organisms like mosquitoes and flies. Infestation fever can bring in the bad news of an upcoming malaria, amoebiasis, trichinosis, and in extreme cases even filariasis.
Drugs are also sometimes responsible for a sudden fever. Some sulpha drugs and penicillin are known behind causing fever. Fever is the raisin of body temperature and thus it can get induced by an overdose of any common drug or medicine.
Fever can also be caused by tissue necrosis, liver cirrhosis, malignancy, or injury. Although fever-symptoms can vary from person to person, but some symptoms are very common to get noticed. These symptoms include rapid raise in body temperature, aching joints, severe shivers, burning rashes, itching, restlessness, tastelessness of tongue, thirst, sore eyes, blisters, and headache accompanied by Body pain.
Apart from the common symptoms, there are some symptoms known as emergency symptoms as they need immediate attention and advanced medical care. You can notice some emergency symptoms like dehydration signs that cause a thirsty and dry feeling of tongue, skin, and the whole body. These signs are often accompanied by fits, hallucinations, difficult breathing, neck-stiffening, vomiting, diarrhea, and swollen glands. If any of these mentioned symptoms are noticed along the fever, then you must seek immediate medical attention.

There are different types of fever that are categorized on the basis of their starting mode and their make-up. Different forms of fever are acute fever, Recurrent fever, chronic fever, Continuous fever, intermittent fever, Tertian fever, Quartan, Remittent, contagious, and non-contagious fever.

Acute fever: This type of fever is sudden to arise and causes high temperature. This however has a short span.
Recurrent fever: This fever is always recurring if proper treatment.
Chronic fever: Chronic fever is slow and progressive. The nature of this fever-type is recurrent or regular. Patients recovering from typhoid often complain of chronic fever as they suffer periodically from this fever.
Continuous fever: Continuous fever is continuous in nature as the name suggests. The variation in this type of temperature is not more than 1 degree Celsius. Patients suffering from continuous fever are known to have it throughout the day without any change or decrease in the body temperature.
While traveling to a foreign country, get vaccinated against possible ailments like tetanus, measles, pertusis, hepatitis, chicken pox, mumps, rubella, typhoid, and diphtheria.
